Arrival in Tampere, Finland

By plane: Tampere has an airport (TMP), where for example AirBaltic flies from Riga. The airport is located approximately 20 minutes drive from the conference venue. There is a bus connection from the airport to the center of Tampere.

By train: Tampere is easily accessible by train from the capital Helsinki (travel time about 2 hours) and elsewhere in Finland. You can find train schedules at VR- railway website (in new tab)

By bus: Tampere is easily accessible by bus from the capital Helsinki (travel time about 2-3 hours) and elsewhere in Finland. You can find bus schedules at Matkahuolto - the bus transport website (in new tab)

Arrival in Varala Sports Institute

By bus: Take a bus numer 10 from Tampere city center to "Tahmela".

The stop is named "Varala".

You can pay for your bus trip with a credit card on the bus. Cash is not accepted. One payment allows you to ride for 90 minutes and you can change buses andt trams unlimitedly during that time, just tap your credit card as you change lines.

By car: The address of Varala Sports Institute is Varalankatu 36, Tampere. We recommend that you use a navigation system to arrive, the route is a bit winding and the road is narrow. But the scenery is beautiful, the road passes through the Pyynikki ridge and forest!

Accomodations

There is enough room for everyone (like in the Moomin house) to stay at the conference venue, but if you prefer, you can also book only meals and find accommodation somewhere else from the city. But to enhance the shared experience, we highly recommend that you stay at the conference venue!
